How far would you go to keep someone stranded in your town when you felt something for them? This is after the first time you laid eyes on them and you know they're going to be leaving as soon as they can.

As soon as Jasper locks eyes on Rita he knows that she's something special and he needs TIME to get to know her. The one thing he doesn't have going for him. So Jasper goes to extreme lengths to keep her in town a little longer.

Jasper is tired of being the town manwhore and a disappointment and he wants to change that. He's got plans already in place but when he gets to know her, he KNOWS she's exactly what he's been looking for.

They spend all the time together that they can and learn each others thoughts and feelings. I liked seeing how they push each other to be who they're supposed to be. Sometimes the push is more like a shove in some instances.

Can they take a risk that could be too hot to handle? Can they figure out if they're what each other needs before she leaves?

Watching their story unfold with Rita's siblings on the road trip to fulfill their mom's wish is funny, heartbreaking and makes you want to know more about the siblings. Secrets come out that I didn't see coming and makes me wait impatiently for the next book.

About Tessa Bailey: Tessa Bailey is originally from Carlsbad, California. The day after high school graduation, she packed her yearbook, ripped jeans and laptop, driving cross-country to New York City in under four days. Her most valuable life experiences were learned thereafter while waitressing at K-Dees, a Manhattan pub owned by her uncle. Inside those four walls, she met her husband, best friend and discovered the magic of classic rock, managing to put herself through Kingsborough Community College and the English program at Pace University at the same time. Several stunted attempts to enter the work force as a journalist followed, but romance writing continued to demand her attention. She now lives in Long Island, New York with her husband of eight years and four-year-old daughter.
