When they first get together it was actually kind of quick for me. Yeah, they went to school one another and she definitely knew who he was and he knew her BUT they didn't know each other. It was like they had a chance to fall into bed together and they did. BUT the story grew from there and I got to watch these two characters grow.
I was reading along and boom! I gasped and was like what just happened? Why would the author do that to me? I was like seriously? NOOOOOOO!!! and I kept reading, got so swept up in the story and then my kindle battery flashed and I was like read FASTER! Then it died and I was like NOOO again! It was 1:30am by that point so I trudged off to bed. First thing the next morning I was grabbing my kindle.
There was a lot of gasping and a lot of myself mumbling NO! Don't do it!! and I didn't see that comings! This book, ugh this book! I liked to see what each of them had been doing throughout the book, I was caught up in the story from the get go. Could hardly wait to see what happened next, I could feel her desperation and her pain. The author truly pulled me into the story and I can't wait to get to Piper's book.
If I wrote a song for you, this would be it. Max held out his hand. Dance with me?” I wanted to cry. I didn’t want him to go. I wanted forever. He was sunshine and moonlight, sandy beaches and salty air. He was happy laughter and sexy smiles. He was my best friend, my lover, my heart…He was everything good in this world, and believe me, few things were ever good in my world. I didn’t want to lose him, but would never begrudge him this experience. I took his hand. “We’ve never danced together, have we?” “This is just the first of many, Ellison Davis,” he murmured, pressing his lips to mine. “I like the sound of that,” I said against his mouth. We danced for the remainder of the song and just when I thought it was over, it began again.
